Here is my theory, there is terrestrize feature and given the fact that pokemon in gen 7 and gen 8 get unique z-moves and dynamax forms, some pokemon get their own unique terrestrize form.

I'd love to see mega evolution return in SV just because it's easily the best gimmick and has so much potential. Other pokemon that aren't kanto should get megas if they were to have the system return.
