It can feel like we spend more time in our workplaces than anywhere else - especially as home and office are increasingly the same place. Join the Leaders in Energy Circular Economy Working Group, DC EcoWomen, and the Aspen Institute Green Team for a virtual panel discussion featuring three professionals who are spearheading circular economy initiatives in their fields.

Working Circular Panelists:

Danielle Nkojo is the Manager, Global Sustainable Products at Kontoor Brands and the Circular Economy Club Washington, DC Coordinator. Danielle previously served as the Sustainability Analyst at DC Department of Energy & Environment, where she developed policies focused on source reduction and sustainable procurement. She launched ReThread DC, the District’s textile recovery and reuse initiative and partnered to launch a Share-A-Bag pilot in DC's NoMA neighborhood.

Stephanie Potter is the Senior Director of the Sustainability and Circular Economy Program at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Corporate Citizenship Center. She oversees the development of programming that promotes understanding of key circular economy and sustainability issues including design, new business models, and transformative partnerships.

Shengyin Xu is the Global Sustainability Manager at World Resources Institute (WRI) who works to ensure that the environmental think-tank is on track to “walk the talk” on organizational sustainability. She helps WRI to measure, reduce, and communicate about its own environmental impact – e.g. greenhouse gas emissions, strategizing and implementing impact reduction techniques, and engaging internal and external stakeholders in sustainability at WRI.

Clifford Deaton (moderator) is Co-Chair of the Aspen Institute Green Team and uses his rich experience in social science research, communications and outreach to plan programs with the Aspen Institute Community Strategies Group focused on building resilient and sustainable communities. Clifford served as chair of the Leaders in Energy Circular Economy Working Group from 2018 until April of 2020. He continues to provide strategic advice and support for group activities.
