It’s unfortunate no one will remember how much he balled during these playoffs because of the Finals.

It was Tatum’s first finals. Just like any other superstars in the basketball history, I pretty much expected he was going to pay his dues at this age especially against a GSW led by Curry, Klay and Draymond. Tatum is lucky that he paid them at 24, not 27 or 30. If you have to fail, it is always good to fail big and fail young.

Plus he was pretty much gassed after playing the most minutes in the playoffs after 2 rounds 7 game series Vs Bucks and Miami with an injured shoulder and rested for only 3 days before the Finals Vs GSW. He would have been much more dominant if he were well rested. Celtics really need to find someone reliable who can give the Jays some rest. And at the same time fill the bench depth with a combination of talented youth players and experienced veterans. This will make or break the team coming into the playoffs.

I honestly won’t worry too much about his Finals performance. I even felt losing the Finals could be a blessing in disguise to push himself to become better and better to achieve more and more in the future. If his road to success was too easy, full of flowers and praises at this young age, then he will get complacent easily.

He is young, he has to get better, he will get better and he will get there. He is the kind of player who will get many more Finals appearance in the future and this year’s finals will prepare him well for the future.

he had the best season of his career so far and some people won't remember based on his finals performance. he's gonna be fine, this was the season of growth he needed that ALL superstars go through. he'll be back in the finals again.

Although he had some clear flaws in his game during the Celtics playoff run, he will be back to the finals soon… good luck next season Tatum!

There's been a definite improvement in Tatum's abilities, and I'm sure he'll be exceptional soon, considering he's pretty good at this point! 👊 Great highlights!

To the people who only watched the recaps. JT will be known for his choke games in the finals. For the people who watched the games. They will know JT played his heart out till the end.

Many will just remember the poor finals performance, but you could attribute that to most of the rest of the team as well. Seriously doubt it'll be tatum's defining moment. HIs best basketball is still in front of him. Clean up the turnovers individually and as a team, they have a chance in any series

Tatum has improved his playmaking and decision making a lot. He's on the verge of becoming a legitimate superstar in the league but he's not quite there yet imo.
