Airbus Vahana and it comparison with the BlackFly

In this video we will look at the Airbus Vahana. We will cover all its technical details. In the later part of the video, we will compare the Vahana with the BlackFly.
The Vahana consumes more than times the energy compared to the BlackFly.

The simplicity of the blackfly design is what makes it a genius Personal flying device. The possibility of vtol transition to forward flight without moving wings and no moving parts than the propellers is totally convincing. It requires less maintenance and has less possibility of failing parts, is lighter and even affordable for „normal“ people.

Its awesome that firms are tackling these craft, so that real progress actually gets made toward things like shrinking size, reducing mass, etc, ....but, its still disconcerting to see that so much vehicle is still required to aerially transport a single human being. The future is bright but the present is still pretty unsexy.

I like Vahana's concept over Black Fly. Tilting wings will not add much complexity, but allows to avoid that awkward rider's position at take offs and landings. Vahana surely needs to get slimmer a bit but the concept is there and seems to be proved.

I think the pilot enclosure particularly to Blackfly is just wrong. Some of the flight attitudes seem disconcerting for the pilot to say the least, but it is fixable with an innovation.
I have never been a fan of tandem wings because the aft wing suffers from the airflow of the canard, but Blackfly offers a refreshing configuration which likely avoids previous disadvantages.
Although I have seen video of this aircraft before your reports highlight some credible aspects I previously didnt consider, kudos....
