This is the chassis of James Glickenhaus' new car, the SCG 003, which is bespoke and not based on any existing car. The car will debut at the 2015 Geneva Auto Show, and they expect to race it at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring shortly thereafter.

YES YES YES YES!!!! I love it (the idea)!!! From bespoke Ferrari built by Ferrari, to bespoke Ferrari privately built without Ferrari, to manufacturing your OWN car with a carbon fiber chassis!!! This is great for the automotive enthusiasts, engineers, entrepreneurs, and the WORLD!  Following very closely!!!

If you guys did well at the 24 hours, that could mean a serious return of the "win on sunday, sell on monday" idea, which sounds awesome. I'd love the idea of picking up a showroom model which could actually win a race.

A great vision, looking forward to seeing the results .... but please, someone tell him it's not NurEMbergring, there's no death camp at the track, despite the name "green hell."

Road and Track needs a better film crew, the lighting, sound, and compositions just really don't do this project justice.

'James Glickenhaus' and 'Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina' Wikipedia articles add some context to what's happening here.  Mr. Glickenhaus is a Wall Street big money car enthusiast with a large car collection who brute forces his way into the exotic car market which is in stark contrast to someone like a Horacio Pagani who has the vision and passion for a limited run hypercar and has the technical and artistic acumen to carry it out.

Who could I hire to design/replicate my own carbon fiber chassis/monocoque? I would like to purchase technical drawings and/or layup schedule for a carbon fiber chassis/monocoque...

Not a very imaginative name for a car of this nature, but... *shrug*

Will the car have a modified (or otherwise) version of a pre-existing manufacturer's ENGINE, though?

I'm always interested to see "upstart" manufacturing, and if the company can have longevity in such a competitive business or not.

Boring marketing approach, almost to the point where I wouldn't want the car even if it was free, but because it's a Glick I would take it anyways :)

Road and track can't afford a microphone? Borrow mine, it was $50.

oh... a facelifted enzo. no... a stripped veneno. at least, a honda-v6 powered italian sportscar paid by an american investor.
to me, the design is a bit out of date. but the v6-biturbo concept looks interesting. but i assume, they will built it up with a ford-v8, soon, to call it american hypercar.
