US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Egypt earlier on Tuesday where he met with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi. Blinken says Israel has accepted a bridging proposal. Hamas — the militant group that committed the October 7th terror attacks — says the latest version of the proposal goes against what they were offered in early July.

Why would anyone think Hamas would be interested in a cease fire? This carnage was the exact outcome they were hoping for. And what do the lives of tens of thousands of palestinians matter when Hamas gets such great attention?
Netanyahu and Hamas both have a vested interest in prolonging this conflict. When what should happen in an ideal world is that both Palestinians and Israelis should entirely shed themselves of their current governments and start fresh.
