I have brought one. And it is the most insane thing I have ever driven. I have driven Lamborghini’s and Ferrari’s on the track and my Eray is something I can not describe. My first launch I did, we giggled like little girls for about two hours. 😂 Did not think the acceleration was possible. Great review but and you described it very well. 👍 Subscribed for sure.

I wonder how long does the battery last before you loose the electric motor and what happens when you do. I guess you would loose 100kw if that happened.
I wish these cars would have been cheaper in AU as it would sell more and we would see more on the road like the HSV in the old days.

It's impressive performance for the dollars, but it has found itself in the unfortunate position of being still far too expensive for regular performance car buyers whose budgets tap out at Supra/M2 level, without being exotic enough to appeal to genuinely wealthy supercar buyers who can have their pick of McLarens, Lambos and Ferraris.

It's caught in that no mans land, too expensive to be true budget performance, too ordinary image wise to have exotic supercar appeal. It's a shame because the C8 family really are impressively engineered. The eventual Zora will be an absolute weapon.

Other differences of note...The E-Ray hybrid does not require a charging station or to be plugged in at home or anything. The electric motors regenerate electrical charge while you drive at a normal pace.
The electric motors also shut off at 140mph and have a total of 160hp while the V8 has 655hp to the rear wheels. Torque is moderately decent from the engine and transmission but electric motors make it AWD until that 140mph boundary. So, unlike most EVs and hybrids, there is NO need to charge the electric motor battery while stationary...just while driving normally.

Well this car is an absolute beast. Its cool to see a Corvette with the steering wheel on the right hand side. I noticed that your numbers are on the low side compare to what we did here in US. On the street surface with a good launch we did a 2.83 seconds 0-60 and a 2.6 seconds 0-60 on drag strip. This car is faster than C8 Z06 in a quarter mile by 0.1 of a second. It does quarter mile in 10.6 seconds which is alot faster than 11.16 showed in this video. Not sure what the reason might be.
