A Gallup survey discovered that half of workers are struggling or suffering at work. If this describes you, learning a new skill is a great way to find a new job. Clark shares several free sites that can help you learn something new in order to land in a career you love. Also, if you work in an office and drive a long commute, you could be doing more harm to your health than you may think. Get up!

Plus, Christa shares your #AskClark questions and Clark gives his take. All this and more on the January 8, 2025, episode of The Clark Howard Show.

About credit card usage... at 25:28, it's like alcohol (in a way). Some people can not control themselves when they begin consuming alcohol. Those people should avoid alcohol. Others are able to control their use of alcohol. Personally, I use a credit card. We pay it off every month. And we both avoid any alcohol--just because it has zero appeal to us (50+ year old couple).

There is more to a job then just liking it. such as retirement benefits, 401k match, health coverage, paid vacation(lots of it if you stay many years), a boss that puts up with you, instead of the other way around. Union negotiated pay increase and best of all you don't have to worry about finding a better job!

About using credit cards - thank you for understanding that not everyone is the same emotionally. I wish I could use the award cards, but am not that disciplined (yet!)

I've listened to you with my Dad decades ago. Since his passing, I've listened to Clark's podcasts for years (with no comments or likes as the podcast didn't have the tools for Android).
It's like listening to my Dad's advice from 'beyond'.
It's the first time I've watched Clark on Youtube. It's different to see him talk vs listening to him (so much with his hands LOL).
Anyway, I feel like you're a family member and felt compelled to comment with support. Love you bro and thanks so much for your help - more than you could ever realize...

Yeah, Dave Ramsey says, "Nobody ever got rich on credit card rewards".
Nobody got rich buying store brand cereal either, but i still do both proudly.

Thanks for the info. I note that good consumer advise is not widely available.

Work harder! Work faster! The CEO needs a second yacht for the East Coast to avoid constantly moving the first from California through the Panama Canal.

Please, Howard do a quick video on what California fire victims need to do about their homeowners fire insurance policies, what to do if they got canceled either prior or after the fire. And what kind of scams will now follow pertaining to building contractors offering help to rebuild. You might wanna touch on the nightmare of trying to get building permits to upgraded building codes! Since the city of Los Angeles and the county of Los Angeles is slow as molasses! Thanks for all your help

You might be right about sitting but I’m an analyst and I have to concentrate and I couldn’t stand and make excel models etc.

There will never be a single pilot commercial airliner in his lifetime....

Clark didn't really answer question about alternatives to Oura. Even though Clark himself is grandfathered and doesn't have to pay Oura a subscription, I'd have thought that Clark of all people would be more adamantly opposing a subscription fee in general for this sort of consumer product. Don't like seeing things trend towards needing so many premium subscriptions (Tile, Fitbit, many apps, etc.)
