1- don’t do it. Doesn’t make sense if they’re the same footprint why not just put 100 piranhas in the 700 gallon?

3 build a new plywood matching size to the 2k and turn the current piranha one into a saltwater predators

I'd rather redo the existing piranha tank and add a couple more from the store.

1. Yes, but you’re losing 6 inches of height, which is where your Arrowana would swim therefore, now you’re pushing your other fish that would swim below him into a smaller confined space. So I think if your Arrowana swims above all of them, pushing all the rest of the fish into a smaller space they’re the ones that are going to suffer in a change but the Arrowana will continue to swim in the upper range not really affecting him.

1. I hate the idea of ever moving fish into a smaller aquarium than they’ve been able to enjoy so far. Unless of course they’re being quarantined. Makes me sad.

1- As much as I love your enthusiasm and energy, I just can't get onboard with this one.

Joeys OCD has kicked in and going to change not one but 2 tanks and in 6 to 8 months from now when he regrets it, it’s going to be our fault.

1. If the tanks are almost the same size as you say, why not use the 700 for 100 piranha?

1. I would leave the 2000g the way it is. The 700g piranha tank is enough for me IMO. But you do what u want Joey!

1. Just my opinion, but I don't think the Piranha are interesting enough to justify dedicating the entire 2000G to them.

2, although building a separate 2000g tank and putting in something like 300 piranha would be even better.

Switch the 16ft aquarium fish with the piranha tank

1. Please don’t do it. Put the piranhas in the 16 ft tank and put the Geophagus and Altum Angelfish in the 700 G tank. I really think the Geopgagus and Altum are in the wrong tank.

I would just rip up the 700 and replenish the substrate and add the Piranha back in it. You can then still add more piranha if you want to.

1. I'm exhausted from just hearing about it.

1 Don't do it without further considerations. i love the way the tanks look and work now. plus some other issues I can see are: 1 if you put in the bulkheads would you not be loosing more water height and pushing the arrow down more into the Oscars area? 2. Having pipes going straight across with not only be ugly but you will get tired of having to duck all the time. 3. if you need to do anything in the 2, 000g you'll now have to get inside of it with the piranhas.

1, if the 2k gallon stocking can go in the 700 the the 100 piranha can be in the 700. Also the planted success in the 700 is an isolated system. Once you join all that together things will change. Hell you could always dismantle the 700 using the panels to make a bigger plywood on almost the same foot print.
