South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, floated as a top pick for a potential Trump running mate, wrote in graphic detail about the day she shot and killed her family’s “untrainable” dog and an errant goat in her new book—acknowledging the political imprudence of the bizarre admission, according to The Guardian, which obtained an advance copy of the book.

It wasn't a family dog. It was one of several hunting dogs that became aggressive and killed poultry, on a farm.

The fact you people are trying to link this to Trump because people think she might be a VP option says a This country needs real journalism, not this.

So the same people who wanna kill the unborn babies (humans) are upset cause someone killed an aggressive animal?!?! Makes about as much sense as this video….

My husband had to shoot our dog who became aggressive toward family. Sad as it was, it is a reality 😢

If I wanted to read, I wouldn't be watching a video.

Had a dog like that. After working with her for a while she turned out to be one of my favorite dogs ever. Always had to be careful of her around other people. She had been badly abused when she was younger, but had such a great heart. Have her picture on my wall to this day. She lived with me until she passed away at 17. Miss her very much.

So what, she lives on a farm in the Dakotas. That's how real people handle shit. Long way to a vet.

As a farmer at some point these are the things we are faced with. Not something we ever look forward to. It takes strength, grit and determination. Even when it breaks your heart

People clicking on this video purely to get upset is nuts

She acted like a grownup and all of the children in the audience who weren't there are upset. What a waste of video time.

I saw a picture of her stepping on a crack. Was she trying to break her mother's back? Lmfao

Look, things like this are just part of the reality of growing up living on and working a farm/ranch. Today, it may not be considered "normal" or commonplace to put down an unruly and aggressive farm dog, but it was to a certain degree, 30 or 40 years ago. If the dog is attacking farm animals or humans and you can't correct it, there is very little that you can do. Most shelters will not even take them with that kind of history.

Sick for killing a dog and sick for bragging about it.

Is this for real? A.I. couldn't come up with a more psychotic story.

Ah yes, criticize a rancher for being a rancher.
