ANTHROPOLOGY OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS | UCLA Student Explains

Anthropology opportunities can seem impossible to find–especially for students. In my opinion, we gotta stick together so here are my tips and tricks so far. As a college student at UCLA, I have found these opportunities come from hard work. Anthropology internships aren't as readily available as some other more popular majors. What I didn't know my freshman year was how many more opportunities there really were–I just didn't know how to look! From volunteering in museums to lab work with your professors, here are some great suggestions on how to take the bull by the horns and get started with your future!

I’m from the DMV and there are so many museums in Maryland and Washington D.C. alone, this is so encouraging and exciting. I loved field trips to museums and still love museums to this day.

I’ve always been pretty lost in terms of picking a major but recently I too read the book Sapiens and fell in love with it. Ever since then, I’ve continued reading books on anthropology and have been researching job prospects. Thanks for the help!
