Nolan Arenado is by far my favorite player in the league

A good example of how a batter's hips and lower body create power and speed through the swing. By the time he actually makes contact his hips are facing Ohtani.

He's young, so I believe he will be soon ok. He still got a good stuff.

Fell behind 3-0 and served up 3 straight hittable fastballs to one of the games top hitters; not a surprising result.

Arenado for MVP even before regular season

Who cares about the Coors field advantage? They still play 81 games on the road.

Hope his performance improves soon, all these interesting players have been fading into obscurity. Hope Ohtani can cause some kind of boom as a pitcher-hitter combo instead of kinda just being there like that switch pitcher whose name escapes me.

He just needs more experiences, it’s still an opening game

He faced a tough hitter... but I do feel he needs some triple A experience... as a hitter he’s way below avg his vision is horrible as a pitcher his commands off but that could be nerves... I think you start the season with a month or two of minors in mind for this kid let him gain confidence why rush

Another Mo Vaughn/Josh Hamilton signing for the Angels. This guy needs to be in AA LOL!

Presentation from 30 MLB teams by Ohtani's order was really comedy

I don't care that it's spring training you can tell he's overmatched. Japan doesn't even compare to the kind of talent the US has. The angels need to make him a full time pitcher forget hitting, the hitting talent is too good. Send him to aaa and let him focus 100 percent on pitching.

He gives up 1 home run and people think he sucks. Arenado hit a monster shot off of Lester. Does that mean Lester sucks too?

I hope Ohtani performs in LA, coming from a Rockies fan

The sad part is that people don’t even look at his numbers that closely, it doesn’t matter were Nolan hits he just puts up big numbers. People please look at the last couple of years numbers at home and on the road they are not that much different.

I remember someone saying that Ohtani just throws, he doesn't pitch

“Look he hit the bull! Some guy is getting a free steak!”

I think Ohtani should adjust his pitch timing and do a little leg hang. Batters can figure out his pitches easily. I hope his pitching coach will figure this out soon. 👍
