Well the good thing is knowing how to take recycled to then bring back into packs. Only tesla and BYD have the knowledge to the entire supply chain down and have a hand in it

A "sub-$30000 with incentives" model is really just another $35k model.
Meanwhile in Europe you can get today sub-25kEUR BEVs (that even INCLUDES 19% VAT and no incentives applied). For example the e-C3 from Citroen is 23300 EUR incl VAT and it's even cheaper if leased (sub-15kEUR !). The slightly larger e-C4 is 31900 EUR but if leased over 4yrs only 22kEUR (again these include substantial VAT). Fiat's e500 is also 25kEUR. Obviously these are smaller cars than current Teslas but so will the new "affordable" model be. Tesla is way behind on affordable cars in Europe, which shows in declining sales there.
