I love how at the end they met with the childlike version of themselves at the end. Reminded me of the verses in Matthew where Jesus said unless you become like a child you can't enter the kingdom of heaven. Basically saying we need to have faith and trust in our Father God in heaven just as a child does with their parent. Have faith that God will carry you and will never let you go.

This song has a deep place in my heart. I lost my innocence at a very young age, and ever since then I've been making up for my mistakes. If I could go back in time, see myself as I once was, I would be the one weeping.

The child I would see, me before I grew up, would he be proud of me? How I turned out? I've still got a long way to go when it comes to restoring what I lost...

Hopes and dreams died along the way, I made new ones. Places I once called home have been upgraded beyond recognition, so I keep my childhood alive through memory alone.

If I ever lose my memory, either through age or injury, the only reason to keep going will be God's forgiveness. Nothing is able to compare with being right with God. Not people, not sin, not life itself.

God is the only one who can forgive what I've done, because he's the one I've sinned against. I've tried my whole life to make people happy, to give them no reason to hate me, but for all the people pleasing I did, I left God to wait for my leftovers.

No more. I can't go back, nor would I really want to. My life is more than memories, my heart is not my own to direct.

Eternal life is my reward, and although it won't be my old life, it will be more perfect than my earthly mind can comprehend.
