I was riding thru the city of Chicago late at night with a girl I like while I was on vacation and she had this song on her playlist. I'm a small town Iowa guy and was just visiting for the weekend so the moment this came on as I saw the city lights, all the buildings, the stars that were out, and I felt the breeze from the open windows with her hand in mine, it felt ethereal and dreamlike. This song will always take me back to that weekend

1. You realize that you used to look at the world in 2017-2018 as vibrant, colorful, and saturated, but you look outside and it’s still clear weather, but it looks very gray, and mono.

2. You remember from 2016-2019, going to the beach a lot having campfires with your friends there during sunset time, but it’s now late December of 2022, and you’re at the beach 12 AM after your friends just abandoned you, and ran from you for some reason.

3. The sky looks like it’s 2018, but you go the bathroom, while you’re at school, you stay there. Everyone leaves. And you’re watching the kids leave through the windows. Then, it’s a couple of minutes before the sun sets. You end up leaving, running away, and go to your friends’ house to tell them your story.

4. It’s 2016, and you’re playing volleyball with your big sister in the backyard…

5. You remember you and your big sister once in 2018, hanging out with her friends, but now it’s a dark rainy night, in your room, just playing video games and listening to this song.
