She is the best written head case that has ever been on the screen

There isn't really a word for how strong my grandmother was. She was a farm wife in North Dakota when her husband died, leaving her with six kids pulling on her skirt. Stock market crash, Great depression, dust bowl, world war II. While complete families with grown men to work the land were losing their farms, my grandmother not only held on, but she actually grew the farm and raised her family. She never contemplated remarrying, she was married and her husband had to exit early. Faith in God and hard work carried her through. It is no exaggeration to say that she was a living legend in her community.

As a Wyoming rancher I do like this show and the entertainment. But omg if we had this much drama and conflicts with others we would go nuts. But we are working so much we couldn't afford someone to take folks to the train station all the time. Anyway still very entertaining. Oh a shout out Powder River Let'R Buck Go Pokes.

I was giving a whoopin' at the age of five that made me look like that. I honestly don't remember why it happened. I didn't leave the house for three weeks. Then wore sunglasses for two more weeks until I fully healed. I don't even remember which parent beat me, because they took turns. Turned out that if your eyes get smacked around enough you can develop cataracts at a younger adult age. First surgery was at the age of 37 and the second at the age of 44. Different doctors. Second doctor says to me very off-handedly did you have any head injuries as a child? It really caught me off-guard. I felt a deep tremble inside and answered "No. Not that I know of. Why?" He explained that very often early onset cataracts are caused by childhood injury. I sat in the car, in the doctor's parking lot and sobbed for an hour. Gosh, at the age of sixty-nine, it still makes me wonder why.

Dan Jenkins could have been a powerful enemy turned ally. Such a shame they wasted all that potential.

Jenkins didnt have a big character arc but he did get better as time went by. I hated him less and less until i realized i kinda respected him in an odd way

Dan was a good character. He was a bad guy. But you also understood he was just trying to make a living by showing people the beauty of Montana.

Why did Beth say this was just the appetitizer? Was she threatened that she'd be beat worse later on or something?

“That which does not kill us makes us stronger.”

I hate the saying. People use it to rationalize trauma as evidence of weakness or defectiveness for not becoming stronger in the aftermath.
