WSliq | Part 1: liquefaction susceptibility
The WSliq program should only be used after reading the report within which this User’s
Manual is contained. The report provides important information on the procedures used to perform the various liquefaction hazard analyses possible with WSliq, and it is essential that users be familiar with those procedures and the information required to complete them before using WSliq. WSliq is organized in a manner similar to that with which a liquefaction hazard evaluation would normally be conducted. In such an evaluation, an engineer would generally be required to answer three questions:
1. Is the soil susceptible to liquefaction?
2. If so, is the anticipated earthquake loading strong enough to initiate liquefaction?
3. If so, what will be the effects of liquefaction?
