Victor is actually the DPOY for me, simply because he is making - by far - the biggest individual difference on the defensive end of any player. And it's not just his blocks and steals, either, it's the fact that player simply aren't taking shots they otherwise would when he is on the court, he just warps the game with his presence.

This is what real sports journalism looks like. This is straight facts and luckily Wemby has the maturity to see through the short sighted takes by ESPN and company. The idea that they need to rush into trading for win now players is the same exact mistake that the Mavs and the Hawks are still hurting from making years prior. This is his rookie season… The spurs have multiple first round picks both this year and next year 2025. They will have the pieces to build a dynasty around developing players that all fit the same timeline. Getting Wemby was only step 1, and they aren’t skipping any steps.

The city of San Antonio is asking for patience, but ESPN profit must be maximized

Facts. Everyone's so impatient. Pop had Sochan running point and everyone hated it but it gave him more ball handling skills. The Spurs know what they're doing, it got them 5 titles, I'm sure they're gonna handle this well too

The Luka Doncic dilemma is a real thing. The New Orleans pelicans went through the same thing with Anthony Davis by being impatient. You should draft young talent and build a strong foundation as opposed to trying to cash in on things that aren’t promised. The Spurs know this better than anyone else in the league.

Victor Wembanyama love the city of San Antonio and they love him, after we got done with rodeo here he hadn’t played a game here for almost a whole month and he said that he missed the city and loves the energy of this place. I just moved here 3 years ago and the energy since he got here has been insane, I remember when he got drafted people were driving around honking at 3am and waving spurs flags, signs all over the city saying “welcome wembanyama” and I’ve never seen that kind of hospitality before for a kid haha!😂 I’m not a spurs fan by any means (slowly turning, waiting for the sonics to come back) but I love that I’m gonna live here during his era and I don’t think he’s going anywhere for at least a decade, we about to secure another top 5 pick and Greg about to make some great moves.

If Wemby was drafted to the pistons and they lost 26 straight games I’d definitely vote for him leaving, but Spurs are a dynasty franchise

You nailed it, baby! Man, the noise is loud from those who say they can win more games with Wemby than Pop. I’ve heard Pop say fans need to be patient, etc. Few understand him. But you do! Keep up the great work!

My issue is that Tre Jones just isn't a good enough shooter to put pressure on the defense and be a real starting offensive threat. We definitely need another point guard so we can put Tre in a "TJ McConnell" type role

Yes sir. You have broken this down with excitement and almost pinpoint accuracy is to what needs to happen. I think the NBA needs to look into you there my man. You got some ideas like my boy set up above us. This man about to make his own media empire. Keep it up brother. You're doing awesome. Thank you!

Whats kinda crazy about Trae is he was Luka before Luka, in the sense he got to a conference final before him, but its weirdly kindave been used against him since its now been two years in a row he hasn't made it back

My conclusions are a little different. The Rockets game showed how you beat SA: collapse around Wemby and dare SA to out shoot you. That tells me that the priority is not a guard, but a high scoring wing that the opposition has to come out and guard. Putting aside the mistakes a young team makes, you see a couple of things. First, when SA shoots well as a team, they can beat anyone. When they don’t shoot well, they can’t beat anyone. This team badly needs 1-2 more dependable shooters. SA has guards that are showing promise and my feeling it that Atlanta would just want too much for a trade to make it worthwhile. Even more than improved guard play, SA also needs a better second unit that does not did holes that the first unit has to overcome. In short, there are bigger priorities than guard.

1:47 Trae Young? You thinking abt that ttw fantasy future 🤣

PGs are incredibly difficult to find and even harder to groom. If the Hawks are willing to send them Trae Young, a multi time All Star and ECF Finalist, for draft picks and no Vassell, they'd be extremely foolish not to accept

The Spurs are a team that have shown they know how to build potential dynasties and i believe this won’t be any different. They are a big enough market to be able to take things slow and use the draft/free agency while letting Wemby develop into a superstar
