just so your aware if they do get mites they will be grain mites which are are harmless to ants and will die out as soon as they run out of moisture/food.

These kits are great been using these from wakooshi most of last year . They can smell like sick sometimes 🤢 and it pays to change cultures to try and stop mites . been keeping mine alive all winter in the garage on a corner of the heat mat.
I have found the small ones are much better than the big for three ants to take on .
This is why i am culturing my own parasitic mites .
