I actually have my own transformers, theory shatter, and dropkick are nightbird and battletrap . So basically, it kinda leads to your theory how Scourge was actually on earth before after Bumblebee killed Shatter and Dropkick, so he took them back to the unicron and rebuilt them . Then, in rotb, when Prime is gonna destroy the transwarp key, the unicron says he can give Prime anything he wants . That's what he said to shatter and dropkick while Dropkick was the hothead who used his canon and sword, but it seems shatter only uses her gun when it's necessary . So, Dropkick would want to be bigger and stronger and have better weapons while shatter would want to be the one to be the best at weilding swords . So then the unicron fully repaired them and became night bird and battle trap . Theres also some possible proof while there not voiced by the same person they sound really similar also it still seems the fighting style is the same battletrap useing his weapons randomly while night bird only useing her grenade when it was necessary . Also, you might just say its because they were trained well, but it seems like when they fight at the museum, it seems like they know how they would fight sense they were all in a war that lasted thosands of years so they would know how there enemys would fight . One last thing while it may just seem its cause the vehicles they scanned while Scourge is really old and batterd looking while battle trap and nightbird look nicer and less batterd but scourge looks the exact same in the beginning of the movie which would possibly mean nightbird and battletrap joined the terrorcons recently.
