In hindsight, Tiff Needell himself was the commentator in the first two TOCA Touring Car Championship games.

Lol this takes me right back....
My first game really was 1994 Sega Rally Championship arcade. It has much better controls than the console shown here. Sega Rally 3 arcade was the peak imo. Each version got a bit better. Now Sega Rally is well... gone since arcades have shut down where I live.

Atleast we have DiRT Rally today. 😂

TOCA was a difficult game, at least if you try to control the car with the keyboard rather than a wheel. The cars were super twitchy and would lift off oversteer at the slightest indecisiveness. It had a good soundtrack and I remember if you browsed the files on the CD there were some audio outtakes with Tiff that they left in as an Easter egg.

So nostalgic seeing these games again. I had TOCA and F1 97 😄 now they look awful compared to back then! I might break out the games and have a go in 2022 😄. Been spoilt with gran turismo 7 🙂

But those games are old Launched on the sega Saturn the original PlayStation and the Nintendo 64 can you imagine a demo of top gear about the Seat León on the Dreamcast instead of a real Life review where you could just test Drive the Seat León on the emerald coast circuit from Sonic adventure 1???
