Показать описание
Jana Semaan's interpretation on Toccata Quinta (Toccata Number 5) by Baroque Composer Francesco Paolo Scipriani aka Supriano (1678-1753).
The video was filmed and recorded at the Church of Our Lady, Amchit, Lebanon.
Jana's words on the Toccata Nr.5 :
"This E minor Toccata with alla breve time signature has a light but also rhythmical character.
The bass notes played after each musical phrase remind us of bourdon notes (drone) plucked on a theorbo. The cellist is then playing both melody and Basso Continuo parts."

She graduated from the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart-Germany where she completed her studies in cello performance and achieved her Master's degree in Early Music/Baroque Cello.
