I read it this month... It literally threw me off guard..I usually make accurate predictions of story ahead but this proved me wrong... My brain was at a blast at the end... I literally went silent after this just to digest what I have just read...

I thought the whole time kathy's affair was going on the same time as Theo was treating Alicia and when he started looking the lady in the window I started picking up that that must be Alicia but I was still figuring how he entered the time portal

Just finished reading this book. I can honestly say that I wasn't crazy about it. The twist was clever; but the dialogue was SUPER unrealistic, and the fact that we never got to see him confront his wife was a huge letdown.

This book was alright. It had me on the edge and I wanted to keep reading because I wanted to know why she killed her husband. It was unexpected but kind of stupid I also give it a 3/5

The best thing is that you cant predict the ending. Really good writing.

How the hell did Alicia write that much in her last entry when she was just drugged up? Also, why didn't Kathy react on that last part? Was it an implication that there wasn't an affair or that Theo accused the wrong man or that kathy was just too pretentious to care? The twist was sick and really cool, but i hated how frustrating the whole book was and how unrealistic some thing were. given the fact that this was the author's first book though, this isn't at all bad.

I've recently finished this book too and was totally surprised by the twist! I really enjoyed the depth of Theo's character and the dynamics of his relationships with others (especially his wife, very interesting side story there that I think weaves into the final twist in pretty shocking way). I don't read many thrillers so it was super new and exciting for me to read! :)

one of my favorite books of the year, that twist messed me up.

i just finished the book like....5 minutes ago and here are my scatterbrain thoughts (spoilers)

the twist took me a bit off guard too I figured out practically seconds before it was revealed, but up until that point I had been running with the theory that Alicia had either psychosis or schizophrenia, and was experiencing a visual hallucination, and that the man she saw was actually her husband Gabriel, and that's why she killed him. bc she thought he was stalking her and was going to murder her.

Finished it yesterday and loved it. The twist really blew my mind. I actually love this kind of ending so I'd rate it 5 stars.

I was brutal on this book, i gave it a 2.5. The plot twist was confusing and so cheesy. It completely ruined the book for me. I did love the reason why the “patient went silent” and the clues that were left behind by her paintings. I was on board for the suspense that Alex built up, but that’s about it.

I just got done reading it. I loved it, but I will say, the first time Theo said he followed his wife's lover, I guessed right off the bat what the ending was. Even though I guessed it, I still loved this book!

Although the book definitely was a page turner and the ending definitely a surprise, I also found myself going back to previous chapters to see if the ending really worked (similar to what I would have done in a time-traveling novel). It was a 3 or 3.5 from me.

Just finished reading it. That plot twist had me pacing around the house for a while until I went back and finished it. Great book

I had a difficult time connecting with any of the characters in this book. Like you, I listened to it. Towards the end the plot twist started to reveal itself I found myself wanting to go back and see if I could find clues earlier in the story. It was a 3 star read for me, and I’m giving it the 3rd star specifically because it was fantastic to fall asleep to. Ironically that’s not something I normally want in a book but something about this one (perhaps the fact that it’s boring?) made it great to turn on at bedtime. Someone else mentioned that they thought the main characters desire to help didn’t correlate with his actions and I couldn’t agree more.

This book is amazing. Gonna be my no.1 book of all time. Especially the description of the painting. I just want to see an artist paint it into existence.

Did not read the reviews on this book, but saw it as recommendation online, as a thriller. Saw the book at Target, and blazed through the book, writing down a flow chart as to whom was connected to who. Listen to me when I say THAT. ENDING. LEFT. ME. GOBSMACKED. We are talking JAW ON THE FLOOR SPEECHLESS. Read the ending and spent a few hours processing what just happened and how everything panned out. #SHOOKETH Too good of a twist, in my opinion.

I get easily distracted and the fact that I finished the book yesterday in less than 12 hours blows my mind, the book is totally a page turner and I'm still mind blown rn

I can’t believe that Theo injected Alicia with poison that left her in a severe coma, it’s sick. But I guess Alicia deserves to be in a coma for shooting her husband five times. I don’t think the provocation was good enough. Yes I know Gabriel cheated on her and then wouldn’t even die for her, but to shoot him five times in the face with no remorse is crazy.

Also Theo should have just left Kathy like his therapist had said, or let Alicia know that her husband was cheating on her. He went to far as to tie them both up and ask Gabriel that.

( ending spoilers )
Just finished reading it and I loved it! however I can't for the life of me understand WHY did Alicia hand him her diary??? At that point she already recognized him. And she let him take it too, wouldn't she be scared of him getting rid of the slight bit of "evidence" the diary had of the existence of a third person?? Why would she trust him like that if she knew he killed Gabriel, and she also thought he was there for amusement
