I honestly think that 4x40w really is all you need these days. Just get a 4x40 from a reputable brand (usual suspects, Sony, Kenwood, JVC etc) or push the boat out and get a 4x50 and be done with. Most cost effective and don't really need much more.

Inside cars have become much more refined from the fiestas and escorts from yesteryear and road noise doesn't need to be over come for most of us. Just get an android head unit and don't waste your money on anything more. It's not worth the expense.

I Like pioneer which I have used for years because of the sound quality and I can download customize the background with logo's. Do the JVC and Kenwood do these. Nobody mentions that?
