When I was younger, I used to think that liking how another artist drew lips, eyes, noses etc. and use that in my own drawings, was art theft. So I would never show my art to anyone because I was ashamed that I had used, for example, the same sort of mouth in one of my drawings, as another artist.
But later, I learned that that is literally how you become better and form your own style. By getting inspired by different artists and integrating some of the things you liked about _their_ own style.

What pisses me off is when someone reposts an artist's work (sometimes crediting) and it gets more likes/interaction than the artist's post. I had to unfollow someone on Twitter because they were always doing this and the celebrity in the drawing would like THEIR post, and not the artist's post. 👺

And when people make sketchbook tours it's always clean and a frickin full artwork
And I'm like "wtf I'm doing wrong????"

I loved this video at "No, your art teacher didn't hate you. They just hated you drawing anime in figure drawing class".
Most of the time, when I hear someone say, their teacher hated anime, I'm pretty sure they most likely just said something like: "Anime is not well received in the industry. Maybe try a bit more variety". Then they got frustrated when the student didn't listen and stubbornly continued drawing in that way.
