Whoo! So happy for him. He deserves it. Once a drivers gets their first pole and race win they know how to do it more often. It becomes second nature. Hopefully McLaren can continue to build great cars because they have a great driver line up that can deliver when needed.

The track had some wet parts yet, but just the dry 'straight' 1:13 on the slicks was enough to gain a lot of time

The fact that Lando was sliding right before he started his lap, and still managed to got this pole.
Also, his race engineer was so surprised, and was finding it difficult to express. That’s why he was like, “okay ummm….(let’s just act normal) pole position mate. Pole position

The control was spectacular, it doesn't look like that clean a lap from all the shaking of the steering, but lines were really smooth, really shows the quick reflexes and control he has. Definitely a future great.

Lando and george are by far the best drivers right now. Lando especially has excelled in building a strong team around him and also he explores opportunities to go faster more than anyone else.
