It's been a while since my last Reylo edit, but my love for them is still there! I was thinking about this song at night during a massive thunderstorm recently and pictured this whole video in my head so I had to make it.

this has been my god tier reylo song for years and to see it rendered well makes me feel every single emotion under the sun. gonna come back to rewatch this one for awhile!!! did want to share this interview gary lightbody did when talking about the inspiration for this song because i think it also shows how genuinely perfect it is for this ship: "I was pretty terrified – 150-mile-an-hour winds, trees falling down. But we went outside the house, and it was also just thrilling. There was this howling wind, but it felt like silence, as if our senses were being too bombarded to cope with what was going on. So the record was born out of that feeling, of two people having a protective shell around each other. I'm not saying there's not darkness in there still, but it's happening from outward factors more than inward. Maybe things are terrifying, but they're beautiful, too. The world is extremely surprising"

Your ability of breaking my heart with reylo goodness is as strong as ever! 😭I know I've said this before but I love the way you do the build ups in your edits and this one is no exception. Just like the lyrics say, it literally overwhelmed me watching it but in the best possible way. The fight sequences from 2:29 to 3:02 which match the music, gave me so many chills, I could really feel the frustration, the desperation and the painful longing they had in those moments for each other.

OMG OMG OMG!!!! I cannot tell you how excited I was to see that you made a new Reylo video!! I missed your videos of them SO much. I have to say, you + Reylo = my favorite viewing experience ever. There's nothing like it. Your videos are so emotionally powerful. You capture all the passion in this dyad! Of course, you choose the PERFECT songs every time as well. I am addicted to you vidding Snow Patrol and Mumford & Sons in particular. We've discussed this before, but both of those bands really know how to build songs up to epic crescendos. To me, that presents such a challenge in vidding them. There's a lot of pressure to get the video to match the climactic genius of the song, but you EXCELL AT THAT EVERY SINGLE TIME!! Seriously, I think you should just vid all their songs tbh, especially to Reylo. hehe xD

Anywho, onto the video itself. I love that you started with the quote "Reach out with your feelings" and it was Ben and Rey connecting through the force, showing that Rey's heart and emotions connect her to Ben. I was ready to cry already! hehe and continuing with that voice over showing the way they bring balance. Putting the shots of their hands being drawn together followed by them being pulled apart as they fight over the light saber was visually cool and a great contrast...then with both scenes of Ben reaching into Rey's mind; the first where he has the upper hand and the second being her pushing back! It shows how equal they are!

Gah I love the start of the lyrics "What if the storm ends" and the way you used that shot of Ben in the storm looking haunted when he hears his mother, and the look on his face as Rey walks away after healing him. /cries/ the way you used the sun for "a perfect halo" and of course the lightening from Rey's fingers for those lyrics was so flawless as well!! And again the way you matched the beat of the song with brilliantly contrasting moments of Ben getting into Rey's mind to knock her out followed by her pushing him out of her brain/infiltrating his! So genius!!

You of course chose the best scenes for the "silver forked skies" line. This song always made me think of Spuffy in The Gift when she sacrifices herself. hehe but yeah, I love that you were able to include those awesome lightening scenes!

Okay I just about DIED when I got to "lit you up like a star that I will follow" OMG DUDE!!! The way he looks at her in such awe when she calls the light saber...and then I just KNEW you would show him running to her on Exegol!! You never freaking disappoint! That was epic!!

"And now it's found us" with the first force bond and "like I have found you" with Ben finding his way back to the light/Rey...OMG HOW DO YOU DO THIS THOUGH?! My heart!!!! I love this video. I adore your choice for "I don't want to run" as well, because it is the moment in which they are choosing to fight side by side (or rather back to back) and so much is said in that look.

You combined the "I saw something too" and "Just you" lines! That was great!! You so fittingly chose incredible voice overs even in the instrumental parts of the song that all speak to the theme of the song and the ship. It's all the idea that the two lost souls find their way to each other in a metaphoric and sometimes literal storm, and by doing that they find balance, belonging, and overwhelming love.

"leaves us nothing" Jesus lady...the parallel of Ben's fist closing after Rey disappears and Han's dice disappear....are ya trying to break my heart in a million pieces?! You're so talented. I just can't. I love the way you used their parental baggage for "memory" and "distant echo" It was SO well matched! Ben rewriting his memory of Han in a better way and Rey searching for her parents only to find her own reflection or "echo"!! I feel like I am mentioning every single line of the song, but you just nailed this entire thing! I can't help it!!

All those shots of them looking into each other's eyes and the vulnerability written there, especially from Ben for "I want to see you as you are now every single day that I am living" was so lovely. Rian Johnson made SUCH a great decision to ditch that mask and show us Ben's face. You see every bit of emotion and struggle there (thanks to Adam being amazing). And the way he looks at Rey is just filled with longing...Gah I swear I am about to cry even though I have already watched this like 20 times lol

You always do such a great job of incorporating their fight scenes into your videos at the right time in the song and with the sound effects and great voice overs...it is just all so powerful, badass, and hot! I loved the "darkness rises and light to meet it" voice over there. Again it speaks to the balance Reylo brings and also that they are drawn together and make each other better! And of course using the dyad line and showing the ways they mirror one another in battle was so cool too!

Ah Maz's quote!!! It was so obviously about Ben. I love that you got that in there too. All on theme!!! You seriously picked the perfect voice overs for this one. You always do of course! And aaaww the "and I don't see you as you are now ever again" with Ben holding Rey's body just really hit me hard. God and the way they healed each other!!! :')

"Like I have found you" with them telling each other they aren't alone!!! THAT OFFICIALLY HAS ME CRYING NOW!!! And how you ended with the kiss, with them finally getting together after they survived the storm!! And yes they BOTH survive the storm lol.

THIS VIDEO IS SO AWESOME. I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH ALL THESE FEELINGS!!! You. my dear, are the best Reylo editor out there. I am so so so happy right now. Thank you so much for coming back and giving us this gem. It's absolutely stunning. ILYSM and think you are beyond brilliant!!!

I was thinking about you on this day which is super weird, but here we are a beautiful comeback video that is striking as much as the storm that apparently created it. I still love your use of movement for lyrics and the scene transitions along with all of those piercing twinflame eye locks that you edit so perfectly. This song is already haunting as it moves like a storm does musically wise but you added to it with the pacing of this video's transitions, scenes and quotes. You never cease to amaze me. btw- started watching BTVS, made it past s1 and s2 looking forward to getting to the great stuff, but those first seasons were not so bad. Thank you for this surprise video.
