The open enrollment period for UC retirees will run from October 31st to November 22nd. Notable plan changes for 2025 include an increase in HMO and Medicare Advantage office visit co-pays from $20 to $30, the addition of a fourth drug tier with a 30% co-pay (capped at $150) for specialty drugs, and new premium requirements for the UC Core PPO plan. The UC Medicare Choice plan will reinstate Silver Sneakers fitness benefits, while Kaiser Permanente expands coverage to northern Monterey County for non-Medicare HMO members. UC will also continue its dental coverage with Delta Dental for plan year 2025.
