Ellington's Nutcracker (short excerpt)

A one-minute snippet from the rehearsal for Ellington's Nutcracker as performed by the Hope College H2 Dance Company and the Holland Concert Jazz Orchestra in Fall of 2024. In 1960, Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn re-imagined Tchaikovsky's classic composition in the jazz style. (My apologies for the fact that the camera was right next to me so the drums are disproportionately loud in the mix.)
