Great little boilers, easy to register through baxi works. Installed a few now and great that baxi send customer service reminders. Comes up top trumphs. Baxi 600 range with the 7 year warranty and the Main Eco compact with the 5. All providing annual services are carried out. Gives the end user peace of mind too. 👍

Fitted loads of them, really really good product. Cost effective and as you say, bullet proof warranties. 10/10 for me.

Fit my first Baxi 800 today and I was very impressed in my opinion it's the best combination boiler on the market and I've been installing boilers for over twenty years.

I bought this boiler on the basis of this demonstration and noted the comments on how quit this boiler is, ? It was fitted like for like to replace my 12 year old Ferroli Optimax HE 38 that was running fine just the occasional drip, and Baxi 10 year warranty would give me peace of mind into my late 70 s well i though when it was fitted in the same place in the first floor bathroom cupboard September 24th 2020 it seamed quiet but then the central heating was not required and i have a log burner downstairs. After a few weeks December 2020 the boiler made a very loud screeching sound for about 30 seconds since then in my opinion the boiler has become a lot louder when running heating and louder again on demand of hot water and the hot water flow is interrupted and has run cold, in my opinion the fan is vey noisy and i can hear a droning sound as if there is a lot of friction on a moving part that is struggling to move with ease. Baxi's technical help was contacted by my installer a few weeks ago who said to monitor the problem and get back to them, well after the interruption of hot water supply and what i believe is a noisy boiler i requested an engineer to call but there is a waiting time of two weeks and they are due to come out
26 -1-21 then i will find out if there is a fault or is this boiler a lot louder operating than my Ferroli Optimax HE 38 as i cannot have the central heating on during the night too noisy to sleep in the bedrooms and i can also hear this boiler operating when i am down stairs while listening to the TV I am very disappointed at the moment with this product, I am familiar with boiler operations as I worked in the Gas industry
This was posted last week but disappeared?

28/1/21 Update
On the morning of the 26-1-21 the date the engineer was due to call I had a tx message off Baxi to say that due to unforeseen circumstances the appointment has been cancelled and booked for 9th February 21. The problems continue with the boiler the hot water flow intermittently goes to Luke warm and there was a loud noise as the boiler came on for heating sounding similar to that of something loose inside a tumble dryer as it was spinning the noise lasted a short time then went quiet, I did manage to record this noise. I have reported this to my installer who says he is going to contact Baxi today.

When switched off is it supposed to have a count down from 65to 15 and is the small window light up at all cos mine isnt. Is there an on/off on the boiler itself.

Do they require 22mm gas pipe from the meter or 15mm as long as the gas press us between 19 and 23mlbar to cover warranty

Hi
I was looking at another boiler with a modulation ratio of 10:1
(Combi central heating ouput 3.5kW – 35kW)
What's the ratio for the Baxi 836?
Thanks

can someone explain to me why my local fitter is offering me a Baxi 830 model with a 5 year warranty instead of a 10 year warranty? Would it be because he is keeping the Adey filter and installing another band filter which would bring the warranty down from a 10 year to a 5?

Here is an update from 28-1-21Baxi was due to call 9-2-21, my installer spoke to Baxi they brought engineer forward to call Friday 5-2-21
Baxi engineer called heard noise when hot water running said it was flow valve and changed it the one noise stopped, I informed the engineer there were two different noises one when the hot water was running and a different noise there is a high pitched whining and vibrating noise when the heating is on .The engineer said all is ok and left. Saturday 6-2-21 while the hot water is on the noise is back what the engineer said he had fixed

I have recorded the noise for 6 minutes. 7-2-21 Booked Baxi to call online booked for 23-2-21
i have sent three e mails complaining to Baxi customer relations that i am disappointed with a new Baxi 836 i have not been contacted by Baxi to date to discuss my concerns. Has anyone else had any problems with a Baxi 836?
