Union Berlin 2-3 Real Madrid | HIGHLIGHTS | Champions League

Real Madrid emerged victorious from Berlin to claim their sixth victory in as many games in Group C of the Champions League. The Whites had to recover from Volland’s opening goal on the stroke of halftime but managed to turn the game on its head in the second half courtesy of two headed goals from Joselu. In the 85th minute, Kral, restored parity for the hosts, but Ceballos struck with a deflected from the edge of the area four minutes later to hand Ancelotti‘s side the three points. Real Madrid completed the group stage with a 100%-win record, the third time the club has done so after the achievements in 2011/12 and 2014/15. They will now discover their next opponents in the last 16 in Monday’s draw.

Real Madrid end their group stage with a perfect record gaining all 18 points! Joselu missed two golden chances and could’ve scored more but ended up with brace and should be good for his confidence! After suffering a long injury it was great to see Ceballos score the game winner as he slowly gets back to form.

MOTM goes to Jude Bellingham. He’s such a great player and doesn’t need to score to be the best player on the pitch. Showed tremendous composure this match and is always a joy to watch! The goalkeeping situation is getting interesting. After a string of fine performances from Lunin, Kepa made his first start since his injury and didn’t look too great. We’ll see how this unfolds as the season goes on. Also Don Carlo don’t be afraid to rest your starters please. Oh well we’ll take the win on to the knockout stages, HalaMadrid!!👑

Well done to Union Berlin having made it to the Champions League. Even if they didnt make much of an impact, they certainly made a good effort from it. Here's hoping they can secure UCL football again this season.
