Abel singlehandedly made me start listening to music in general and he's pretty much the only artist i've been listening to with some exceptions.

The Weeknd is the closest artist we have to Michael Jackson. He was #1 on Spotify for 2 years straight, had a Super Bowl show etc. but I still think he is underrated. It feels like most people see him as a regular pop artist when in reality his music is so much more. it's truly art.

I think he's going to finish the character's arc by resolving The Weeknd and Abel together. "Killing" The Weeknd by repenting and healing and choosing to become who he was meant to be instead of the monster he was. He became popular because he showed us the ugly truth, now he's going to show us the beautiful truth. He's going to show us what it's like to be lifted out of hell. At least, that is what I hope.
