Thanks for the great review Richard. Glad you and Jen enjoyed Funfair so much. It was certainly our aim to make a lighter, tighter, faster and friendlier version of Unfair and we're glad we hit the mark for you. A few quick things for your viewers:

Funfair is now available worldwide. We encourage you to buy and order from your local game store who likely needs all the help they can get right now. But it's available widely online too (link in description above).

Enjoy!

I would say this is a nice alternative to Unfair, BUT, you can play Unfair without the negative cards and City events with the world peace game changer card. I like the fact in unfair you can switch out different themes each game to combine different parks each game.

Unfair is fantastic, you can play it peacefully.

Yes in Unfair you can take out the take that harsh cards but the game is balanced around leaving those in. I think this solves all the issue that I had with the original.

Hello Rahdo, just got Funfair and can't wait to play. I was however wondering if there were expansions coming soon?

Unfair is one of my favourite games of all time. While it does have that "take that" aspect, we found that it rarely occurs to such degree that it ruins the game for us, especially with smaller play groups like 2-3 players. Everyone is so focused and invested in building up their own parks and matching as many blueprints that people only attack as a deliberate, last ditch effort to rein in a very obvious lead (which is not always the case) by ruining one or more of their blueprints. Even then, passing up on the generally superior boost to your park, combined with the risk of retaliation, may not be worth it. I don't like to play the Ninja theme often because some of its cards lack that trade-off, and are just there for pure destruction. The best part of the game for me is trying to be as resilient as possible to attacks later in the game by having redundancies, flying under the radar, and being prepared to pivot if the worst ever happens :) putting all of your eggs in one basket and making yourself an obvious target is a recipe for disaster!

TL;DR: We found that the 'take that' element balances itself out when compared to whatever else you can do, and is there to use IF and ONLY IF you _really_ need to use it. Because it's not always obvious who's ahead, we tend to lean more towards point-generating actions to maximize our points as much as possible.

This may be too soon to ask, but are expansion packs planned for Funfair? I usually always target boardgames that have expansions. This game seems like it is quite a candidate for expansions.

Just a comment. Do not understand your comment on UNFAIR. If you read the rules in the original game. There is an official variant in the rules of unfair to play it fair :) Without any nastiness :) So 2 games in one. There is also a lot more game in the previous version + expansions than in funfair. That's why I prefer the previous version.
