The dogs being trained to smell cancer and disease

These dogs are being trained to sniff out cancers and other diseases as part of an ongoing trial into the early diagnosis of life-threatening illnesses.

The detection dogs are able to notice tiny changes in smell caused by cancers, malaria and Parkinson's disease.

Early results have been so impressive that the NHS has granted permission for a clinical trial into detection dogs which could see them one day become a normal part of medical diagnosis - but critics say more evidence is needed and the costs are still too high.

I remember when I had a knee injury on the bike. When I was sat at home on the chair, my dog just stared at my knee. I hadn't drawn any attention to it or massaged/put cream on it etc. It was quite eerie really!

They really are our best friends and deserve to be treated as such.🐕🐶

That's why I am all for the piece of legislation that Gove was wanting to promote that would see anyone found guilty of cruelty could face up to 5 years in prison.

I'd really like to test this out please, I just had a mammogram and ultrasound of my breast 8-21-2018 that detected two masses, one on my left and one on my right, I'd be more willing to see if a dog could detect cancer then a biopsy with a big needle that could potentially spread the cancer worse. I'm really scared please help if you can
