Hello everyone, in today's video we are going to be trimming our jackfruit tree (Artocarpus heterophyllus).
Growing jackfruit in Florida is a very easy and rewarding tree to grow. It grows with ease in central Florida to southern Florida. Here in zone 9b growing Jackfruit has been very fun especially now that I am getting jackfruit flowers on my tree.
By pruning the jackfruit tree in half we focus the energy back towards the roots & the base of the jackfruit. This will help the jackfruit base thicken up and become girthier.
The thicker the trunk the stronger it will be to hold a big fruit. I am also hoping we get more jackfruit flowers as well by pruning the tree.
