Thats the problem with people nowadays. They think the tools make the carpenter, but its skill that matters. A good carpenter can use any tools available and come out with a nice finished product. Learn your trade and focus on quality work and worry less about whats in your friends toolbag.

I use dewalt since I have the easiest time finding like new tools in the used market for pretty cheap. I got a new 1/2 impact wrench for $70 a few months ago

I’m only 24, but got hooked on Craftsman while working for Sears before they went bankrupt. I remember we had tools coming in from the 1930s for warranty swaps. Ever since then I’ve been pretty loyal to them.

I’m so grateful my grandpa passed along one of his snap on toolboxes(he owned a dealership back in the day and loved buying the guys the best tools). Must be from the 80’s-90’s and it’s in perfect condition. Been climate controlled until last year, but now it’s about to go in my new garage after I fixing it up. Was looking at the price of snap on stuff today, all I can say is naw. Will not be outfitting any garage ever with that brand, even if I hit the mega millions 😂

"You think these are better
then Milwaukee". You got me at I'm a Boomer and I stick with what I know, and I know that "better THEN Milwaukee" is not the same as "better THAN Milwaukee."

As a carpenter the best miter saw for me is the Makita miter saw. The best portable table saw is the Dewalt 60v. The best drills are from Milwaukee currently. Its all preference for most of the remaining tools.

Honestly ridgid is pretty solid, no pun intended. Some of you may not know but the side of ridgid that makes their powertools is owned by the same company that owns Milwaukee. So you can expect a pretty well made tool!

Kobalt is heavily slept on. I’m a mechanic and I use their 24V cordless impact driver and right angle impact on a daily for well over a year now and they’ve held up just fine

Lol, the craftsman one is very true. There’s a couple old timers I work with who rock craftsman. We also are assigned dewalt for one area of work and then the guys who are doing tougher work are assigned rigid. I asked if I could keep my dewalt tool’s because they’re significantly better. He tried to tell me the rigids were better. I just laughed. I was right. My rigid tools are okay but not good when compared to my dewalt set. The batteries on the rigid die within a day or two. My dewalts would last weeks (we aren’t using power tools constantly but pretty often for smaller tasks). I’m leaving my rigid batteries on the charger in between uses and if I have to use the sawzall the battery gets 1 use. It’s funny because the stuff I’m doing requires more power when we use them and I’m using it pretty much all day to loosen screws.. Rigid just sucks overall.

I don't care I just buy tools that all use the same batteries.

If you stick to one brand, you are getting ripped off on price or quality. I have milwaukee, snap on, tekton, sunex, gearwrench, Icon, and even some Pittsburgh till they break.

Lmao this was clearly made by someone who knows the absolute surface level of tools😂 how you gonna leave out the ones that matter like Milwaukee, DEWALT, Makita, Bosch, Metabo, Matco, MAC or even Ryobi.
