A best friend of mine just didn’t talk to me for six months out of nowhere, along with a bunch of other people that we were both mutual with, including my boyfriend, and this song just embodies that for me. I only just recently got an explanation, thinking it was my fault the entire time when it wasn’t. She misses me, but the damage is done.

I cried when I first heard this song. My wife is in the military. The army made her different in ways I can't explain. She feels like a shell of her former self. She still loves me but her way of thinking is completely different. She turned into a hero, she's my hero. My heart still aches because of how much she experiences.. This song reminds me of that girl who used to cry whenever someone didn't feel like she was pleasing them and would manipulate as if it was her fault. This song reminds of the girl who kept people's need above herself so she could heal them while knowing she needs that the most!
That girl is my younger self...who used to listen this song at 1am with tears in her eyes thinking if they were hurt because of her, when in reality they weren't more than just a psychotic and narsicists.
But once I realized "Too much light can blind yourself" I promised her that I'll make her so proud and she'll have the greatest comeback ever.

I understand this a lot. I don’t have much friends, and I truly did have a lot of friends for a while. After a bit I just blacked out and ignored everyone and staying alone. My social anxiety got the best of me and I soon went into depression, not super bad depression but to the point where I just didn’t care about anything at all. Although I have overcame it, i still get anxiety attacks and I haven’t been the same since. My closest friend that was with me throughout this experience is now with her new best friend. </3 if anyone has been through something similar I’m sorry
