Carp lake the other day, whilst waiting for the alarm to go off I chucked my feeder rod in, bomb and 4 dendras. Landed a 2lb perch. Didn’t realise it was a specimen however did photo it. Lovely surprise. Good luck to you.

it took me over 20 years to break the 2lb barrier for a perch and i had about 4 x 1lb+ the weeks before i got taken for a ride by a big perch that took off and had me nearly up a tunnel with my rod as well -- it took a few mins to get in the net and when i did weight it - it was 2Lb 2oz :) -- 10ft rod + 4lb to a size 16 hook with maggot + chop worm

Ace video. Nothing wrong with eels tho I love them 😊 if I was after big perch I'd fish a bomb to your right and try get a lob on a long hooklentgh under the Bush.

Great video buddy. My 3 biggest perch have all been 2lb 14 oz !!!! One from a canal, lake and river .

Hi scott.perch are a species i dont catch that often.some years back i did catch a 1lb 13oz perch at the paradise fishery nr york.best perch session was on ure at aldwark (near toll bidge) chopped worm on leger and probably had about a dozen of them up to a 1b.😁
