Gilbert is so fine-I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve watched Anne with a E I’m so obsessed with Anna Green Gable’s. I have so many copies of the books and I’m very close to PEI and got to go to Green Gables definitely recommend.

When I started watching Anne with an E, I fell in love with this series. Over time, I saw a lot of sexism in the series and how much Anne showed that the "women in the kitchen" thing was all a lie. This series encourages many women and teenagers! Anyway, everything was wonderful. 💓

I feel for Anne in this situation. 20 years ago, when pixie cuts were normal, I had to get all my hair cut off, and people gave me hell for it. My neighbour (adult) kept mentioning how I looked like a boy, and others did as well. The hair dresser told me that no one would notice or care since a lot of women had short hair. They certainly all noticed with me. I got called a derogatory word I won't repeat here, among other things. So, I can only imagine how it was like for her in that time period when it was unheard of for women. I always related to Anne somewhat, but I never related to her more when she took the hat off and entered the classroom. Everyone stared and laughed at me, too. I was in ninth grade when it happened, so I went through it so many times because it was High School, and it was the beginning of the year.
