India, Japan, and the Global South

NEW DELHI, April 5, 2023 — In collaboration with the India International Center, the Asia Society Policy Institute in India hosts a panel discussion exploring the possible ways for India and Japan, respectively the chair of this year’s G-20 summit and the host for the annual G-7 summit, to collaborate in mitigating the expansive threats facing the Global South. Speakers include Amb. Mohan Kumar, professor and dean at the International Affairs and Global Initiatives of OP Jindal University; Dr. Sanjaya Baru, economist, author, and former adviser to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh; and Prof. C. Raja Mohan, senior fellow at the Asia Society Policy Institute. Former Indian Ambassador to Japan Amb. Deepa Wadhwa moderated the discussion. (1 hr., 20 min.)

Weird delusions Bollywood style nothing real. What Global south wants:
1. Political: Someone to stand up to against the US power which is Russia and China. India is standing with the US.
2. Economy: Global south wishes for economic development China has shown economic growth never seen in human history. India has only shown it's population growth. Whether it's investment or market size Indian can offer nothing that can come even close to Chinese.
3. Military: Global south feel totally naked to US aggression they need some power to balance US which is Russia, China. India follows the US's command happily.
4. Diplomacy: China doesn't meddle into other countries' internal affairs, doesn't force countries to choose sides and creates win win situations. Exact opposite to the US and India.

Most important of all Chinese, Russian in fact no country no people in the world claims today to be voice or leader of global south. The height of arrogance, sheer stupidity and lack of self awareness is puzzling.
To claim to be voice of global south with the blessings of Washington and thinking we in the global south would accept any country to represent, man handle shows the stupidity. British may have left India long ago but Indian mind is still colonised . Sad times we live in.
