VMworld 2013: ViPR with vCloud Automation Center
Показать описание
This is a quick demonstration of EMC ViPR, an open, software defined storage model. The EMC ViPR controller is analagous to the model of the VMware NSX controller - in this case, ViPR abstractor of the control plane of storage.
In this short demonstration, ViPR is used to create virtual arrays and virtual storage pools across heterogenous NetApp and EMC infrastructure, and then integrate it with vSphere.
Beyond this, ViPR not only harmonizes VASA (any storage behind ViPR can use a common VASA provider), but also tightly integrates with vCO and vCloud Automation Center (vCAC). Here, we show how a simple vCO workflow and vCAC machine request can be automated throughout the whole stack using ViPR for the storage components.
Cool!
