There were also pics at end, first one showed his parents when he was in the egg, second one showed elderly exhausted mothra with him as a baby, wich means after his parents died (female died in volcano and male committed suicide beacuse he couldn't bare life without her) she found the egg and adopted it, third showed godzilla and rodan as younger, fourth one being them fighting and five being him with his baby
Now idk about cracked egg, some peeps say it was his second egg along with one we knew or first egg, some say it uses his own egg as tombstone for his parents, I assume the egg was his first egg that got cracked, idk what happened to his mate tough, as in end it says his family are proud, wich means the egg was his first egg, the first baby was his son our daughter being up with its grandparents.

Fun fact: godzilla jr and rodan hatched from the same eggs so that means they are considred siblings, however rodan got radiated and probably grew wings and turned red, causing him to appear as a giant red pteranadon but on jr's case he hatched in a lab but got no radiation before he met his dad aka heisei goji
