Picked one up from the open-box discount table at Harbor Freight. It had good online reviews, and I liked that it didn't require a gas bottle and runs on 110v outlet. Super handy machine.

I have this welder as well- does fine for what I need- from the video I really can't tell how slow or fast you're going, but with self-shielded flux it's crucial to run it pretty slow to guarantee the best possible penetration. Having said that, your weld that I see in the last part of the video seem perfectly fine.

I used my yesterday with a 50ft 10 gauge extension cord I put the ground relatively close to the area I'm welding the spool speed is probably the reason is burning the wire all the way inside

Nice, straightforward, common sense review.

nice, I picked one up, from what ive read and see they say dont use an extention cord or if you do use heavy gauge like 10. Glad to see it works like that though.

That seems to be an excellent welder for small jobs - and big jobs when the bigger welder isn't around. Everytime you have to change the small spools, you lose about 6-10 feet of weld wire (depending upon the lead length). That can get expensive over time. I belive the 1 & 2 lb spools cost more per foot of wire than the 10 lb spools. I had that problem with wire burning back into the tip. The simple fix was to use a longer stickout, keep the contact tip about 3/4 inch away from the welding surface along with the correct WFS and voltage settings. I don't think you have a power problem. The 23amps is probably if you were welding with the highest voltage settings.

The mig gun should have came with a gas nozzle, although you're not using shielding gas that might help you with the wire issue, just a thought.

Yeah 1lbs spools suck. My fleet supply store sells 30lb spools for cheap. I just re-spool my small spools with the drill

I have bothing bad to say about them. I have their 240v stick welder and the mig140. Cant beat the price for what you get.

Two things I've found with this welder:

1. Mine kept sputtering back until i changed the ground clamp.

2. The contact tips from HF are junk. I love HF so don't get me wrong, but the hole at the end of the tip gets bigger and bigger. I tried a tip that got with another welder and have had zero problems. Thanks for the review! 👍🏻

No sir, if they didn't use the correct gauge wire your breaker wouldn't trip the wire would eventually catch fire. It could be a 20 amp branch circuit that's getting over loaded using the welder.

Max is 90 amp. They claim it put out 125 amp. Did you check the output amp with the meter?

I've had my titanium 125 for a year and a half and I've only went through two tips also you should not be welding in the rain you're asking for trouble I'm in the process of making something to hold a 10 lb spool of wire what I did notice your extension cord is too light when I'm outside welding with the titanium 125 I use a 25-ft cord hooked up to a generator Bob Elkhart 👍👍

It’s real life, doesn’t have to look “ professional “ it just has to work!!
