Nowruz - Iranian Kurdistan 2019 (1398) - Part 1

This video is about one of my experiences in Iran.

It was one year ago, exactly. On the 22nd of March, 2019, I attended Nowruz celebrations in Iranian Kurdistan. Nowruz is also known as the Persian New Year.

I wanted to share the images I recorded on this day. I didn’t know what to expect at all.

It's been three days since my good old friend Vincent and I were in Iran. In Tehran, we've met Banafsheh (a friend of my friend Maryam), Kayvan, Mahsa and Reza. On the 21st of March, they drove us to this small village called Satiari.

On the next morning, the 22nd of March, we realised that we were surrounded by mountains. The atmosphere was completely different from Tehran.

I want to give my warmest thanks to Banafsheh, Kayvan, Mahsa and Reza for the moments that we shared, and also to the people who hosted us, who shared meals with us, who smiled at us, and who welcomed us. “Merci”, sincerely.

I would like to insist : every single person we've met has been welcoming, kind, and generous.

It is one of my experiences in Iran.
