You opened my eyes with explaining Faust as a phenomena of a Post-Christian Modernity. I turn to my notes: In a poetic image in his notes, Nietzsche wrote that the Übermensch of the future would be a Roman Caesar with the heart of Christ. This coupling of being a master of the material world with the further expanse into the metaphysical as a philosopher-leader.

Looks like great work ahead of us doctor, thank you.

Truly interesting! Alas, though you have intrigued me, I have no way to physically compensate for such metaphysical insight (perhaps I have no soul to bargain, or perhaps it was never mine to give!), as I am quite young, not even in true adulthood yet. But that thought alone has got me thinking about the faustian nature, (if I'm not commiting a heinous misread of the myth, that is) of the technology used to deliver this information. After all the internet, as we knew it, was created by a physicist, a man striving for knowledge, in the hopes of instantaneous transmission of knowledge to 'Fellow Faustians' I suppose you could call them. Though the internet of today and naturally the world of today has seemed to lost its striving for such knowledge, and the internet has gone far too misused and abused, methinks. Regardless, I hope I'm not contributing to the misuse in posting this comment, and I certainly wish you all the best on your course!
