The most cited work of German literature (Faust. Eine Tragödie.) tells the story of a German necromancer or astrologer who sells his soul to the devil in exchange for knowledge and power. In this video, I'm going to retell the first part of Faust (Faust. Der Tragödie erster Teil) in a very short summary in easy German for beginners.
Faust is a tragic play in two parts by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and was published in 1808. Although rarely staged in its entirety, it is the play with the largest audience numbers on German-language stages.

The concept of Natürlich German is based on Dr. Stephen Krashen's second language acquisition theory, in which one uses comprehensible input to acquire a language, rather than 'learn' it.
