The notorious set. Please note: this was a rough version of my JOKES FOR QUARANTINE hour (filmed 9 months after this set, so you'll hear jokes you've heard before).

#NimeshPatel #StandUp #Comedy

Nimesh Patel is a comedian and writer based in New York City. He has written for #SNL, the #Oscars, #Awkwafina, #HasanMinhaj, and much more. While most know him for his (in)famous appearance at and subsequent removal from a comedy show at Columbia University (and his subsequent appearance on #JoeRogan), Nimesh has been performing comedy for over 10 years. His comedy album, Head Nimesh In Charge, was named one of Interrobang's Top Comedy Albums of 2019, and can be found on Spotify and at PATEL2020.COM. You may have seen him on Comedy Central's This Week at The Cellar, VICE Live, and MTV's Vidiots. Nimesh is a regular at the Comedy Cellar in NYC and currently resides in Brooklyn.

Apologies that jokes are redundant. I was working on the hour (JOKES FOR QUARANTINE) which was filmed Aug 2019, 9 months after this happened. Read description for full inspiration. Enjoy and thanks for watching.

Thank you Columbia University for making him famous with your lack of sense of humor and lack of ability to process information. Or else I would have never found him on youtube.

"Indian man kicked off stage at Columbia for saying "Being gay is not a choice"!

'I just don't think you're entitled to certain jokes you're making.'
What a blown up pompous sense of righteousness, but I guess they're allowed to feel entitled to it. To call them snowflakes would be an insult to actual snowflakes. You handled it like a true professional, Nimesh. More respect for you.

"I'm a generation older than y'all, I know what comedy is, I know what disrespect is, I've been through a lot" holy shit yes

That black gay joke was a solid line! Those girls thought they were being woke, but they got offended by something that actually was woke. Being black AND gay is hard!

When he said that he already got paid, I relaxed considerably

I felt awkward watching this when I know how it ends. I kept waiting for the part when he said something too It never came.

The fact that you told THEM to their face that what they actually WERE doing was offensive. That closing was EPIC.

They saw “Indian” and “SNL” and thought they were getting a mild mannered Hasan Minhaj type. Little did they know they were getting Indian Patrice O’Neal

They didn't even have the courage to confront him honestly, they were such cowards they lied and he had to coax them into telling the truth, and the jokes were funny, these people are cowards and I spit on them.

"You can't insulate yourself from how the real world is." realest shit I ever heard 😢

Those girls were just that. Girls. Young, not yet mature, completely guided by being popular for all the wrong reasons.
No class, integrity or any real understanding of the real world, racism and how to deal with serious topics without closing up shop and denying any real discussion or learning anything for themselves.
I love Nimesh even more for how he handled this. Those little girls have plenty to do to grow up and experience the real world and life and I hope they use this awful way they handled this as a turning point to how not to behave or handle things.
Nimesh for the WIN!

Lmao straight silence for the gay black joke which was actually woke in itself, but any joke about white people had this crowd dying of laughter and cheers.

These kids laugh at the randomest jokes but not the best ones lol

That last line tells you everything about how these kids are being taught to see the world. The single thing they saw when they looked at this guy was his race, and how it could benefit them. That's it. When they felt it was no longer a benefit, they cut off his voice and booted him out.

there are very few people who can handle a dead crowd and an uncomfortable situation THIS smoothly. Amazing confidence and perseverance 💯

Thank you to those three brave young girls for making Nimesh famous right around the globe. Im in South Africa right now, enjoying his comedy, and subscribed to his channel!

The gay black joke is a progressive joke! It felt like nobody even got it, too. Weird, weird vibe.

The offense here is that they couldn't see a confident Indian guy talk like a real American. They wanted to see another 'Apoo' or self loathing comedy like Aziz or Mindy . None of them have balls to talk to Bill Burr like that. It's sublimely racist of them to think they can actually control his content.
