This video introduces the particle model of matter.

Everything around you is made of tiny particles: the air you breath, your phone and you! The particle model simplifies atoms and molecules down to simple particles. This allows us to ignore the chemical reactions and just focus on the physical interactions.

The particle model of matter is very useful for understanding the properties of matter such as density, pressure and specific heat capacity.
