Prepare to be stunned by this disturbing public video capturing the terrifying experience of a group of individuals stuck inside an elevator for a staggering 90 minutes, all while the building staff callously neglects to summon essential emergency services.

In an alarming display of indifference, the concierge of 14 York Street, known as the Ice Condos in downtown Toronto, prioritizes cost over human lives, leaving the stranded passengers in a state of desperation. Despite their pleas for assistance, the staff's callous decision exposes a concerning disregard for the well-being and safety of those trapped within.

The situation takes a perilous turn when one of the passengers collapses due to the distressing conditions. The shocking footage shines a spotlight on the dire consequences of failing to act promptly in emergencies, shedding light on the need for accountability and compassion.

As this video spreads awareness about this disturbing incident, let's reflect on the critical importance of valuing human lives above financial concerns. The repercussions of such negligence could potentially lead to a costly lawsuit, dwarfing the expenses of the very ambulance that could have saved lives.

It would have been a lot cheaper for sure to get help. Hope they win a big bag for that vile behavior!

I would’ve been belligerent by the time those doors would’ve opened

"Lady we've been trapped here for 90 mins!"
"Please don't call unless there's an emergency"

That lady seemed like she was having a lot of anxiety and it was making her sick. These poor people.

This is really what happens. It’s ridiculous. I’ve been stuck on several elevators and they never call for help, just maintenance.

I love how kind and supportive they are being to this woman who is in distress.

I have to keep the line clear in case there's an emergency…

Whoever is on the line speaking to them needs to be fired.

That woman was obviously in distress. Shame on them. I hope they own the hotel once the lawsuit is finalized.

Those 2 young men were so amazing helping that women stay comfortable, and calm through her anxiety and panic during that situation. Fear of enclosed spaces is no joke one literally feels at though they are being smothered to death and they start to develop a fight or flight reaction

That woman was sweating and red-faced. She was either having a medical problem, anxiety, or something else. I hope that that they sue for EVERYTHING that they can get.

Edit: Thank you to all the people trying to be decent here! To those others ridiculing the woman: There is no reason to be cruel! Please lay off the fat-shaming. Her weight does not mean she deserved to be treated like that. None of them did. She was in distress and it was completely triggered by that awful situation.

As a dispatcher this is an emergency and your supposed to call after 10-15 min after maintenance/facilities won’t or hasn’t arrived on scene. If someone has medical complications (like medicine/ pregnancy, or feels like passing out/ anxiety etc) you call right away.
