Using After Effects motion tile and warp effect we can create super smooth transitions for our videos.
This effect is used a lot on short social media clips and vine videos. Easy to make and looks great!
Vine Effect, Titk Tok Effect
- Gather clips
- Place “Motion Tile” Effect on second clip
- Change output width and height to 600 each
- Check box - mirror edges
- Add 2 adjustment layers
- Add Effect “Transform” To the bottom layer
- Move 10 keyframes away from the cut
- Add Scale keyframes on the transform effect, scale first clip from 100 to 300 (up to you)
- Go 1 keyframe forward to second clip and bring the scale down to 70 or so (play with it to see what looks best)
- Scale it back to 100% a few frames later
- Easy Ease all keyframes
- Open up your speed graph
- Copy how I adjust the graph
- Enable motion blur to the transform adjustment layer
- Add Effect “Warp” to the top adjustment layer
- Change style to “Fish eye”
- Go to the placement of the first scale keyframe and set the “Bend” value to 0 and add a keyframe.
- Move to the next scale keyframe before the cut and play with the “bend” value, try around -50 to -100
- Go half way between the final 2 scale keyframes and set the bend value to 0
- Easy ease all keyframes
- Open the speed graph and copy the adjustments we made to the previous graph
- Enable motion Blur
